January 2010

Painting and cooking classes
going strong at SpringHouse

The trees may be dormant this time of year, but there's nothing asleep about SpringHouse and the fun activities here. Classes fill up fast, and sometimes more have to be scheduled to accommodate overwhelming interest.

Painting from the Hearth
The second painting class of the year will be February 11, from 6:00-8:00.  Local artist, Bonnie Luckie, will once again be instructing beginners to advanced artists how to paint.  The cost is $30 and includes paints, brushes, two hours of instruction and a fun-filled evening with the other students.  Food & wine can be ordered before, during and after the class from the small-medium-large plates menu.  Limited space is available and classes have been very popular so make your reservations today by calling Michelle at 256.215.7080.

Cooking Class
Thursday, February 18, 5:30-6:30pm
The January cooking class was so popular, two additional classes had to be added. Don't miss your opportunity this month as Chef Rob McDaniel teaches on different techniques for cooking meat (i.e. grill, pan sear, roast, or braise). There are only 10 seats available for these intimate classes so call today to save your spot at the chef’s counter. The cost is $25 per person. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres during the class and stay for dinner upstairs selecting from the small-medium-large plates menu.  Make reservations with Michelle West at 256.215.7080.
