When Mr. Russell envisioned Russell Crossroads, he pictured a bustling, self-sufficient town center focused on local industry and community. Something reminiscent of what southern towns used to look like: a general store, a market, a clinic, restaurants, of course, and even a gristmill. It was crucial that the restaurant reflect and honor the land.
With that in mind, Russell Lands On Lake Martin teamed up with Executive Chef Rob McDaniel to deliver a restaurant that respected the land and a menu that featured excellent, local products. Mr. Russell chose a commanding location on a hillcrest overlooking The Stables, pastures, pine and hardwood forests and, in the distance, serene Lake Martin.
Throughout our country’s history, the town center has served as a community gathering spot—a common meeting ground to shop, to dine and if luck had it, to leave with a few friendships formed. Located in the heart of the Russell Lands On Lake Martin community, Russell Crossroads perfectly blends these storied traditions with today’s conveniences.
